Horse Show Academy
Join us for our exciting fall academy where you will learn the skills needed to show a horse in the following events:
Western Horsemanship
Western Pleasure
Trail Class
We will also go over the basics and patterns for events such as Barrels, Pole Bending, Flag Race and more.
This class will focus on good horsemanship skills, clear communication with horses, how to follow a designated riding pattern, and much more…all while having fun and creating lifelong memories and skills!
COMPETITIVE CLASSES:
This academy will consist of 6 classes, 2 1/2 hours each, followed by the Dusty Trails Horse Show in which students will compete in several judged events as well as some timed events. Classes are for beginner to advanced riders, and we supply the horses! Students will be divided into classes by age/experience. The horse show is free for family and friends to attend!
NON-COMPETITIVE CLASS:
This academy will still consist of 6 classes, 2 1/2 hours each. However, instead of ending with a competition, student’s families are invited to an exhibition at the arena to watch the students showcase their skills in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere. (No prizes are awarded in this class). This is a great way for beginning riders to get started!
SCHEDULE:
This class will be held one to two times per week. Weeknights and weekends are possible class times. When registering, please indicate your preferred class days and we will do our best to accommodate you. The classes will begin the weekend of August 22nd and run through the week of September 14th, with the Horse Show and Exhibition being held the weekend of September 19th.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Payment will be due the first day of class. If you would like to set up a payment plan, please call us at 308-530-0048 prior to the first day of class.
Make up classes are available for missed classes with prior notice. No makeups will be given for no-shows.
There is a 225 lb weight limit for students in this class to ensure the safety of both students and horses. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns.
